Booking Appointments

We are now using an online booking system called Rapid Health. This service allows you to tell us about your symptoms, ask questions, or request advice without needing to phone or attend the surgery. If sending a message to the surgery, this will be reviewed by our clinical or administrative team. Messages are reviewed during our normal working hours, and we will provide a response once your request has been assessed. Response times can differ depending on the nature of your enquiry and overall demand.

Please note: this service is not monitored continuously, and response times may vary.

If you have a medical emergency or need help outside of practice hours, please contact NHS 111 or 999 as appropriate.

The online booking system will be available at the link below from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. You can book urgent and routine appointments using this system:

Nurse Appointments

These are pre-bookable up to 6 weeks in advance.

Nurses appointments vary in length of time therefore, the reception administrator will ask what the appointment is for to enable us to book the right time frame.

Enhanced Access

We offer additional routine appointments on a Saturday morning from 8.30am to 12pm. These are provided by a range of staff to offer nurse, pharmacist and GP appointments outside of our normal opening hours. These appointments can be booked in the same way as routine appointments above.

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible.

Primary Care Roles

There are now lots of different clinical staff seeing patients at the practice. To help you understand how the various roles differ, click here for more information on the different types of clinicians you might see at the practice.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP system - SystmOnline
