Urgent Appointments

To request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday):

  • phone us on 01283 732257, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a Reception Administrator, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm

When you get in touch, we'll ask what you need help with. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

Routine Appointments

To request a routine appointment in the next 14 days:

  • phone us on 01283 732257, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a Reception Administrator, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm
  • request an appointment online (see below)

When you get in touch, we'll ask what you need help with. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you. If there are no routine appointments available we will let you know when they are next available to book.

Enhanced Access

We offer additional routine appointments on a Saturday morning from 8.30am - 12.00pm. These are provided by a range of staff to offer nurse, pharmacist and GP appointments outside of our normal opening hours. These appointments can be booked in the same way as routine appointments above.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call

Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often means you can get help sooner.

Changing or Cancelling an Appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP system - SystmOnline
  • reply using the link in your reminder text message
  • phone us on 01283 732257, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online https:\\111.nhs.uk or call 111. NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there is a specific doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the healthcare professional by phone, face to face, or by video call
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home Visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it's helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8.00am as possible.

Electronic Access

You can contact the practice about a medical, administrative or prescription issue by clicking here: https://florey.accurx.com/p/C81110 . Answer a few short questions and we will get back to you within 2 working days. Please do not use this form for urgent or emergency requests. The submitted forms will only be read during office hours. The forms will not be read on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or on Bank Holidays. Please contact 111 during out of hours, or 999 in an emergency.

This method of contacting the practice is for routine queries only. Examples of reasons you may contact us:

  • You have a medical problem and you aren't sure if you need to see a clinician about it
  • You have a medical problem but you aren't sure who to book an appointment with (GP/Nurse/Physio/Pharmacist) and would like some advice
  • You have been given some medication but are having side effects and would like to know if this can be changed to an alternative medication
  • You need a Fit Note for work
  • You have a general query and would rather contact us electronically than over the telephone
  • You want to book a Nurse, Phlebotomist or Pharmacist appointment only. GP appointments cannot be booked using this service. If you need to book a GP appointment then you will still need to call the surgery to arrange this.

  • Injections/Immunisations
  • Chronic Disease Reviews
  • Ear irrigation
  • Cervical Smears
  • Dressings/Removal of Sutures
  • Well Person Checks
  • Medication Reviews

Please note - you cannot submit medication requests on this form. 

Nurse Appointments

These are pre-bookable up to 6 weeks in advance.

Nurses appointments vary in length of time therefore, the Reception Administrator will ask what the appointment is for to enable us to book the right time frame.
